GAIA – The Founders' Vision

Associate Professor Dr. Su Thanh Long and Associate Professor Dr. Bui Khanh Linh laid the foundation for GAIA – a pet care system built on modern values, humanism, and deep compassion in Vietnam.
Graduating with doctoral degrees in Veterinary Medicine from Yamaguchi University, Japan – one of Japan’s leading veterinary institutions – the two founders not only acquired in-depth academic knowledge, but also embraced a strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and an international perspective in animal healthcare.
In 2010, after years of study and research in Japan, the two returned to Vietnam and founded GAIA with the aspiration to contribute to the advancement of the domestic veterinary field. Fueled by the belief that every pet deserves a healthy and happy life, GAIA was born as a trusted companion for Vietnam’s pet-loving community.
The name GAIA, meaning “Mother Nature,” reflects the founders’ philosophy of sustainable development, love, and responsibility toward all living beings. Under their guidance, GAIA has grown beyond a veterinary clinic – becoming a comprehensive care ecosystem where pets are healed through knowledge, dedication, and kindness.
Today, GAIA’s activities extend beyond clinical care, with initiatives including:
Professional collaboration with universities and organizations both domestically and internationally;
Establishment of GAIA Academy – a training center for veterinary nurses and high-quality human resource development;
Development of the GAIA Pet Care brand – a system of clinics and pet care centers inspired by Japanese standards.
More than a decade since its founding, the vision and values of the two founders continue to resonate deeply within every member of GAIA – from veterinarians and nurses to customer care staff.
